Mr.Amitabha
Sadangi
Chairperson
Amitabha is in the chair of GEWP Board of Director’s, he is
the founder of GEWP.
With a post graduate degree in Labour & Social Welfare and an
additional degree in Law, Amitabha began his career in 1987 as a
Program Coordinator, Church’s Auxiliary for Social Action (CASA) and
then moved on to OXFAM India Trust as a Senior Project Officer. It
was in 1991 that Amitabha was introduced to IDE in India, wherein he
took on a leadership role and in October 2001, Amitabha created an
independent entity – International Development Enterprises India, or
IDEI
While interacting with the poor, Amitabha understands the need of
the smallholder farmers and it is from here that IDEI derives its
future strategies. The need to innovate and provide even more
efficient, yet affordable tools and market access to the poor
farmers, which can lift them out of poverty, drives Amitabha and
therefore IDEI. Amitabha envisions a time when each farm house hold
shall become a self sustaining mini enterprise.
Taking his vision further, of creating sustainable enterprises,
Amitabha moved on to formulate two for-profit enterprises from
within IDEI. Global Easy Water Products (GEWP) caters to supply and
distribution of drip irrigation technologies; whereas Blue Wealth
International caters to the output markets.
While leading IDEI & GEWP towards achieving this vision, Amitabha
has received several accolades including The Outstanding Social
Entrepreneur Award from the Schwab Foundation, Ashden Award for
Sustainable Energy, Social Entrepreneurship Award by the Skoll
Foundation, The Templeton Freedom Prize, The Tech Museum Award,
Ashoka Change maker Award, was amongst the top three in the Most
Innovative Development Project Award from Global Development Network
and others.
Suresh
Subramanian
Director
Suresh Subramanian is one of the promoters of GEWP & serving the
board of GEWP as a Director.
Suresh Subramanian holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management
from the Institute of Rural Management, Anand, Gujarat.
Suresh is currently the Chief Operating Officer of IDEI and is
responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the
organisation, including programme planning, implementation,
monitoring, finance and administration. He has been with IDE India
from August 1995 and has held several positions.
He was previously worked as Associate Director (Project Support &
Monitoring), Kovel Foundation, Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh &,
Programme Organizer (Village Institutions, Commercial and
Monitoring), Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India) Aga Khan Rural
Support Programme (India).
Siddharth
Tata
Director
Siddharth Tata joined Acumen in September 2010 to
further develop the Agriculture Portfolio in India. In his last role
at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Siddharth worked with
non-profit organizations to help build programs in the areas of
dairy development, watershed management, and creating market
linkages to improve incomes of farmers in India. Previously, as a
management consultant at McKinsey & Company’s Mumbai office, he
advised clients in the retail, IT, and financial services
industries. He has also assisted a Mumbai-based investment firm on
its agriculture investment strategy and helped launch a turnaround
program for coffee washing stations in Rwanda as a volunteer
consultant with TechnoServe. Siddharth has an MBA from Harvard
Business School and a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of
Technology, Madras, where he was awarded the Shankar Dayal Sharma
prize for excellence.
Vikas
Saini
Director
Vikas Saini is Vice President Finance & Administration at IDE (India) having nearly 16 years of experience in financial operations and management. Demonstrated hands – on management style in the development and implementation of strategic plans to ensure company growth. He oversees the accounting, asset management, legal, tax, budgeting, regulatory requirements, and implementation of Information Technology. He holds a bachelor's degree in Commerce from Delhi University, Diploma in Computer Software from NIIT, New Delhi and an MBA from Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, New Delhi with specialization in Finance.
Meghna
Rao
Director
Meghna Rao is Country Director of Acumen Fund India. She comes to Acumen Fund with approximately 12 years of experience in investment banking, venture capital, manufacturing and technology. Prior to Acumen Fund, Meghna was the Managing Director of Pluspak Containers Pvt Ltd, a mid-sized foil packaging manufacturing company in Maharashtra. Prior to Pluspak, Meghna spent four years at Microsoft in India and the United States where her primary focus was driving the adoption of Microsoft’s offerings among small businesses. Earlier in her career, she worked in mergers and acquisitions at Goldman Sachs in New York and in venture capital at JH Whitney in Connecticut. Meghna holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in economics with a concentration in finance from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, Meghna herself is an entrepreneur, having built and run an IT solutions company. She currently serves as the president of the Harvard Business School alumni club of India and was recently named as a fellow of the Aspen India Leadership Initiative.

Prakash Singh
Managing Director
Om Prakash holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management from
Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA). He is having around 10
years of experience in FMCG & BFSI domain, in the areas of sales &
marketing, product management and profit centre management, across
geographies. In his earlier assignments, he had worked for GCMMF
Ltd. (Amul), ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Lombard and Financial
Inclusion Network & Operations (FINO).
